The women in the life of Jesus challenge us to look beyond our culture to Christ Himself. By their examples, they urge us to give ourselves fully to the One who has redeemed us from lives of sin to follow Him with commitment and contentment, even in obscurity, and to reflect the life and love of Jesus to our generation.   If he isn’t trusting in Christ, he is spiritually dead and under condemnation. He needs eternal life and that life comes by believing in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. The point of these witnesses to Christ is to testify to who He is so that people (including you!) will .

Ryan wrote "Jesus Christ Is:" and then "Bible" in the center of the board. There is a nail representing the bible. This needs to be placed in the center of the top board and hammered through the top and into the bottom board. The bottom board has things written on them, somethings we know are true, others not. As a “second witness of Jesus Christ,” the Book of Mormon adds substantial force to the biblical testimonies. On the first day alone of Christ’s visit to the Americas, twenty-five hundred people went forth “one by one” to “thrust [their] hands into [Christ’s] side” so .

Jesus' interactions with women are an important element in the theological debate about Christianity and are prominent in the story of Christ was born of a woman, had numerous interactions with women, and was seen first by women after his commissioned the women to go and tell his disciples that he is risen, which is the essential message of Christianity. but sanctify Christ as Lord in your hearts, always being ready to make a defense to everyone who asks you to give an account for the hope that is in you, yet with gentleness and reverence; Christ Is My Lord Confession of sin Acceptance Being Saved belief confessing Faith In God Being Born Again Accepting Christ Jesus Christ, Lord Saved By Faith.

Comparing all four Gospel accounts of the disciples' experiences at the empty tomb on that first Easter morning can be challenging.

Certain Women in the Savior’s Day: Centered in the Savior Jesus Christ Our sisters across the ages have demonstrated the faithful pattern of discipleship that we too strive for. “The New Testament includes accounts of [certain] women, named and unnamed, who exercised faith in Jesus Christ [and in His Atonement], learned and lived His.

As an argument for the validity of the Gospels, I have heard it mentioned by multiple pastors that a woman's testimony was considered inadmissible in a court of law, so the fact that women first discovered Jesus's empty tomb (e.g.

Luke ) is an indicator that. The first step to finding faith in the Lord Jesus Christ is to let His word—spoken by the mouth of His servants, the prophets—touch your heart. But it is not enough merely to let those words wash over you, as if they alone could transform you.

We must do our part. Jesus Speaks With Women in Public. First, Jesus refuses to treat women as inferior. Given the decidedly negative cultural view of women in Jesus’ time, the Gospel writers each testify to Jesus’ treating women with respect, frequently responding in ways that reject cultural norms.

He recognizes their dignity, their desires and their gifts. "Christ the Lord Is Risen Today" & "Thine Be the Glory" - Duke Chapel, Easter - Duration: Benjamin Wolf Recommended for you. This Jesus Christ of whom we solemnly testify is, as John the Revelator declared, “the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth.” He “loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, and hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for.

Tell that both the Bible and the Book of Mormon testify of Jesus Christ (Articles of Faith ). To present, show the Two Testaments of Jesus Christ puzzle to help youth learn why we need the Book of Mormon. They will be able to see that both the Bible and the Book of Mormon testify of Jesus Christ.

These women all testify, and I included, that because of its divine beginnings, Relief Society and its members have a spiritual power to overcome the world. Because we know Jesus Christ, we have the power to act in His name to perform miracles even in our day.

Purpose. Because Relief Society was divinely organized, it also has a divine purpose. The Women Who Knew Jesus is an excellent book. It is well written, well researched, and well thought out. Particularly effective is the way that Dr Ring encourages the reader to emphasize with the women in Jesus's life.

It is a great book that can be used for personal growth or in a group setting/5(4). One very important function of the Book of Mormon: Another Testament of Jesus Christ is to convey to the modern world powerful testimonies of the divine mission and essential attributes of Jesus Christ, “to the convincing of the Jew and Gentile that Jesus is the Christ, the Eternal God” (title page).

Rather than being the prophetic utterances received from Jesus, the testimony of Jesus is the believer's personal testimony about Jesus. The "testimony of Jesus" is found in the writings of the New Testament, whose writers personally knew Christ and bore witness to Him.

President Russell M. Nelson gives a message of comfort as the efforts to protect our communities from the COVID pandemic continue. He talks of the peace that comes only through Jesus : M. My name is Bonnie Hamilton. I'm wife, mother of 7 children and 24 grandchildren.

I'm a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I have a testmony of its truthfulness and that it is the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. I have a great love for the Book of Mormon. I have read and studied it for many years. I know of its truthfulness. I just knew that God lived and that Jesus Christ was a personal being with which I could speak with.

Later, after spiritual experiences endorsed and built upon my strong faith, I had no doubt, and a greater understanding and appreciation for my Father in Heaven and His Son, Jesus Christ in my life. Anna is a pious prophetess who witnesses to Jesus as one who hopes for the redemption of Jerusalem (Luke ).

The women surrounding Jesus are pious and are given place to testify to him. Women play prominent roles in Jesus’ ministry. Luke notes several women the other gospels do not mention. Thirteen of them appear here and nowhere else.

In no way does the New Testament treat women as spiritual inferiors. The first person Jesus revealed His messiahship to was a woman (John –26). Jesus healed women (Mark –34; Luke –13). In contrast to the prevailing practice of the rabbis, He taught women (Luke –42). Women ministered to Jesus and the disciples (Luke.

Wilkins states, “The Crucifixion and Resurrection accounts tell us a decisive number of things about God’s purposes for women in the life and ministry of are validated as worthy of the most privileged service in the community of faith, bearing witness to the reality of the risen Lord Jesus. He accepted women in his inner circle: Luke describes the inner circle of Jesus' followers: 12 male disciples and an unspecified number female supporters (Mary Magdalene, Joanna, Susanna and "many others.") It would appear that about half of his closest followers were women.

He appeared first to one or more women after his resurrection: Matthew describes how Mary Magdalene and.The apostles never ceased to be shocked by Jesus' willingness to talk with women, women of questionable character, even immoral women.

It was very difficult for Jesus to teach his apostles that women, even so-called immoral women, have souls which can choose God as their Father, thereby becoming daughters of God and candidates for life everlasting.
